we spent the 4th watching the best individual firework show we have ever seen…i was worried about their house, their barn, their everything the entire time…

it is so very hard to keep up these days with anything lately…I accepted a full-time permanent position with my company and am loving every minute of it…it has been a wonderful blessing in so many ways…someday, I may take the time to put it all in words but for now our news is…
we are building a new home…woohoo…it has been 7 years since my horrible mold-house saga…that is another story in itself if you are unaware, but God has truly shown me more than I ever imagined during that time about obedience…it was a time when i truly felt helpless and somewhat alone…those who I thought would help did not…all that to say through this process, I have experienced God’s faithfulness to those who love him…I have a precious family, and that is all that mattered…I had come to the place of contentment whereever I was in life – without baseboards, bathrooms that needed redone, and so much more…I never thought the day would come when kris & I would be building a home on 2.5 acres…one thing that I will always know is that this world is not our home…I am thankful that my hope is in heaven, and while I am here on earth I hope that our new home will honor Him. We are hoping to document this process a bit just like having a baby…I get tears in my eyes almost everytime I think about it…and my only way to describe it is the feeling of being blessed more than I ever deserved…
The entrance…Kris was SO against a gated development, but he fell in love…
Here is a shot of our current wooded lot and our neighbors to the east. It is hard to see the neighbors through the trees, but they have a darling bungalow oasis.
The closest gas station and food is 2 miles south at Pop’s on Route 66 (or 2nd Street)…they have a great chicken sandwich…we can’t wait to try the breakfast…it could be our new John’s…
And this is what we found on Westminster (right by Pop’s)…
it is definitely one of their favorite times…they could play for hours…sometime i wonder how they can stand the cold water since they have been in the bath so long…
our only new news…avery just got accepted into crossings for the fall…it will be great to have both m&a at the same place next year…major started in january and has learned so much in 2 months…
it sure has been fun…life with 4…these 2 keep us busy…Major is now going to Crossings Christian School, and he is absolutley loving it…hopefully Avery will be there next year…we had to submit a family of 4 picture…it took an hour to get a good shot (maybe 2)…
here are a few that didn’t make the cut…

here are the ones that did make the cut…

and here is one of my favorite’s of avery…

one of our favorite times of the year…

we had some overnight guests this weekend which meant we had 2 scavengers who happened on some fun finds…

major decided he wanted to be batman several months ago…he convinced his sister to be robin, but we gave her some options – like batgirl…he then proceeded to tell me that i would be catwoman which means dad is the joker…i am lucky to get costumes for my 2 so needless to say no catwoman and joker…but several times during the week, batman now says, “catwoman, please help me…the joker will not let me go.”
they are the cutest batman & robin i know…
avery has been wanting to get her hair cut for sometime…when she was younger, people would always ask if we cut her hair into a cute bob…we have been lucky in that she never really went through the mullet phase and has always had cute hair…but now she wants to do everything major does, so we decided it was time for a cut…she loved every minute of it and especially ms. lori!
